WTF gives? I'm definitely not tone-deaf. I've scored very highly on tone tests, I make music, I can recreate by ear (not everything like a savant but I can do main melodies and sometimes background chords). It honestly pisses me off deeply. I wish I could sing.

I don't ever force myself through an entire album to see if I like it. Either a song pulls me in or it doesn't. Who has the time to listen to an entire album and then go, "Nah"? Don't you get a feel for it by the third track?

Back in the day we paid physical money for a physical CD/Vinyl. We gave them much more attention!

But there's also the aspect that now, you can really narrow down things you truly like instead of forcing yourself to like stuff. Because, songs you instantly like wont get worse over time. They get better just like average songs you start off liking. The only difference is you start off at a higher point.

I have my own little system I've made for myself.

1. Get a whole bunch of different albums of stuff. These are a mix of artists I really liked on the last wave and deserve a second album, artists I've heard a few songs of that I've liked and I'll get one album, and then a few variety albums consisting of famous albums/artists I've never explored, things my friends really like, and random genres.

2. Listen to the album.

3. Rate the songs on my iPod. 5 stars for songs I instantly like, no rating for whatever songs, and 1 star for songs I dislike. Alternatively, if I find that every song is 5 star material, I'll simply remember the artist for the next wave. Rarely some songs will deserve 4 stars if the album itself isn't 5 star material.

4. Relisten to the albums. The chance of me reslistening is pretty directly related to how many songs have 5 stars in the album.

5. Repeat 1. The next wave of albums usually happens if I need to plan a long trip or something.

Especially if you do what I did, use the weakest weapon you have and drop it when you find something stronger.

That's what I already do if I'm not spamming bombs against enemies.

Honestly, the breakable weapons give me so much anxiety that I don't even wanna play. I like to manage my resources a lot in games, as well as have fun, and breakable weapons (especially these fucking dumb glass weapons) really ruin that for me. I don't ever want to use the good weapons I have "just in case" and I have no fun playing yolo just using the strongest stuff I have all the time. I have no desire to buy stronger weapons or try to get money for better weapons because there's no fucking point if I can barely get to use them or have to constantly worry about how many times I've swung.


I especially hate that the Shrines sometimes need weapon swings (you could use bombs but sometimes that's way more inconvenient) and those count towards durability. I try to kill most enemies with bombs because at least I have infinite bombs.

Lol, trust me, they didn't care about any of that. All you need to be a video game QA tester is a pulse. Your peers will often have actual, real goals within the industry, and may be artists, or programmers trying to get a foot in the door. If your only experience is that you play video games, you won't be going anywhere.

I'm sure you need more than a pulse, because if you're just some whoever, you'll have no idea what a specific bug looks like. I could prob know what a bug looks like better than my mom. I also want to use this opportunity to get into the industry somehow. At worst, I'll leave and do something else entirely. At best, I could move into a more social/networking position.

I really doubt that. There are definitely girls that know how attractive they are and who is in their league. Why else do you think there are way more hot girls that post selfies and bikini pics than ugly girls? Would you think you were unattractive if you had girls lining up to talk to you? How about if you literally made a living based off how you look?

Even if they are insecure, they get over-validated instantly, so it hardly ever matters. Especially with the internet.

If anything, I feel like attractive girls would be insecure because of their looks, thinking that's the only way they are worthy. But then again, they will have 100s of guys claiming they are the most special thing ever, both genuinely and ingenuinely, so that also hardly ever matters.

I think people just want to know that attractive women are on an even playing field to feel better about themselves, but it's pretty obvious that they have an advantage and they know it.

It's kind of like when people say "money doesn't buy happiness" as an attempt to bring down rich people to their level. Sure, it doesn't, but being rich sure as fuck helps. It's a huge advantage.

I haven't watched in a while but I can't imagining it being that much worse for me.

The main thing I hated about that show was that Timmy wished for the stupidest shit ever. If I was him, I'd have a goddamn system in place to correct any astray wishes.

He also completely fucked the Magic Muffin which literally granted him ANYTHING he wanted. First thing he does is straight up lose the Muffin. No. First thing you wish for is that you permanently have the Muffins powers and only you have them. Next you wish for Divine Protection against any sort of being or force that attempts to blackmail you of your Muffin power.

The only smart thing he did was ask for a Genie Lawyer when he was making wishes with Norm the Genie.

He's also in some weird Stockholm relationship with Vicky where he puts up with her abuse because she's the reason he has Cosmo and Wanda. Probably because his parents are neglectful and he puts up with shit at school.

I get that he's a 10 year old, but even when I was like 10 or 11, I knew his wishes were stupid. I guess that's how the show exists in the first place, but it was still annoying.

Not completely. You're only 25. A health science degree was always a bridge to a more serious medical specialty. I know a friend who got a Chiropractor license in 2 years.

If I had a job where I can surf the internet all day, I would use at least half of that time to learn new skills. But hey, that's just me.

That leads to the underlying problem that I'm hardly interested in anything. I like research but research in the US is dying due to less grant money. I loved the chemistry courses I had to take and would love to pursue it but I'd need to get an entire new degree which is more loans I can't pay. I was thinking IT or programming, as those are skills that don't necessarily need a college degree, but I'm not sure the passion is there. I love and make music but I don't think I'm good enough to make money from it and art is a very risky thing to try to make a living off of. I would love to get into game design but that needs programming and I'd be way more secure as an app developer or website developer with a coding background. I also love little kids but idk what to do with it. I'd like to be a streamer or blogger, something with an audience, but that too is very risky and unstable.

Most of my friends that have salaries and careers either got jobs straight out of undergrad and/or live and breath what they do. There's hardly a single thing I could see myself devoting my life to. Research is probably the closest thing.
